About Us

Rev. Jon Cortese graduated from Seattle Pacific University and Asbury Theological Seminary and is ordained with International Ministerial Fellowship. Jon and Mischelle are Pastors with Partners In Harvest and have been in ministry together for 20 years. RIVER CHURCH River Church has been a member of Partners In Harvest, an international fellowship of churches based in Toronto, since its inception in 2000. We are a trans-denominational Cell Church that meets in homes on week nights and in a building on Friday nights. CELL CHURCHES Cell Churches are very informal weekly gatherings in peoples homes and based on the four W’s; Welcome, Worship, Word, and Witness . Relationship with each other is an important component to the life and vision of the River Church and begins best in this small church setting. The Cell Churches are led by ordinary folks who have a heart for the River Church vision of receiving God’s love and giving it away. Each Cell is under the supervision, authority, and equipping of the Pastors. FRIDAY EVENINGS On Friday evenings the Churches come together to celebrate the love of Christ, through abandoned worship, bible preaching, personal ministry and lots of snacks! This service is also informal.
